My Video Gift

A personalized-film experience that turns photos, clips, and a story into a gift people can preview before rendering.

My role

developed the personalized-film prototype and its assistant-facing integration.

The problem

Creating a personal gift film involves storytelling, media generation, consent, and delivery—without making every change an expensive restart.

The approach

Designed a preview-first experience backed by a staged media-production workflow, with a separate integration layer for AI assistants.

What it enables

Supports reviewing the gift before fulfillment, reusing completed work after interruptions, and checking the final film before delivery.

The work,
and its boundaries.

Preview-first experience

lets the gift creator review the story and media direction in the browser before the final production workflow.

Production architecture

separates preparation, content review, media generation, rendering, quality checks, and delivery so each stage has a clear responsibility.

Cost-aware recovery

retains completed assets and spending history so interrupted work can resume without unnecessarily regenerating everything.

Assistant integration

provides five MCP tools for gift workflows, with consent and photo requirements before an assistant can request paid rendering.

Status

the developer API is in private preview; access controls, credit checks, and final render verification are part of the design.
