Kanban Board — Interactive UI Prototype

A responsive, browser-persisted task board demonstrating direct manipulation and mobile-friendly card editing.

My role

Built the board implementation and responsive interaction refinements.

The problem

A useful task-board prototype must support real editing and movement rather than simply display static columns and cards.

The approach

Implemented board, list and card mutations with local browser persistence and pointer/touch drag-and-drop, keeping the prototype deliberately client-side.

What it enables

Supports real task editing, reordering and local continuity through a deliberately browser-only desktop and mobile prototype.

The work,
and its boundaries.

Direct manipulation

Cards reorder within lists and move between columns through pointer and touch drag-and-drop.

Editable workspace

Users create boards, add/rename/delete lists and edit or delete cards, including descriptions, labels and due dates.

Local continuity

Browser storage preserves boards between sessions without a backend account requirement.

Responsive interaction

Touch activation, a collapsible sidebar and a mobile-oriented card modal adapt the experience to smaller screens.

Scope

Implemented single-browser UI prototype, not a collaborative SaaS product; no authentication, shared server persistence or cross-device synchronization is claimed.
